Disposable Single-Use Testing Module
The U2 Knee system’s MDT (Modular Disposable Trial) allows surgeons to perform all steps of the trial assessment surgical technique with pre-sterilized single-use components. This helps reduce the risk of compromised instruments, cut down on instrument cleaning/sterilization costs, and speed up turnover of operating rooms.
The MDT includes femoral trial sets, tibial trial sets, and patellar trial sets designated by implant size.
Femoral Trial Set
Includes the femoral trial, CR notch trial, and PS box trial, along with the PS box notch cutting guide.
Tibial Trial Set
Comprises the baseplate trial, PS post trial, and trial spacers to represent tibial build thicknesses ranging from 9 to 18 mm.
Incorporates both start and insert trial components.
Femoral Testing Module
The femoral trial set is reinforced by a metal backing and easily converts between PS and CR versions by simply changing notch trials. A PS box notch cutting guide is available for PS box preparation.
Tibial Testing Module
Allows transformation from the CR insert trial to the PS version.
